Old is new again.

This design conscious homeowner knew she would have to expand her garage to turn it into an ADU, but didn’t want the resulting structure to take over her back yard or block views from the house. With city-imposed setbacks, we had very little room to work with. Our addition is only 100 square feet, yet includes a galley kitchen and bathroom with a window wall that looks out onto nature. With living space, a sleeping loft, counter in the former garage, this mini-complex has all you need for efficient living. With special attention paid to form and materials, we think of the addition as a modern jewel box. And just like that…old is new again.
