Lemons into lemonade.

The Owner’s of this Berkeley home wanted to add a second floor, but the City wanted an unpermitted sunroom to be torn down before they would consider any addition. At first, this put a sour taste in the owner’s mouths—but when they saw our design for the addition they realized it was not only worth it, but were excited about this dramatic transformation of their house and back yard. Creating a new patio on the foundation of the old sunroom not only saves money but creates a pleasant perch from which to enjoy the newly expanded yard. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
