No room for an island? Think again.

Of course most of us love the (kitchen) island lifestyle. It’s functional—and it’s a gathering space in the heart of the home. When these Piedmont homeowners measured their kitchen in anticipation of a kitchen revamp, an island didn’t seem possible…but they came to us. We love making the “impossible” possible.
The solution? A built-in pantry provided valuable storage space, but stuck out into the room. To make room for an island, it had to go. So we replaced the pantry with a wall of built-in cabinets that more than made up for loss of storage, yet took up less room. Now, a trip to “the island” only takes seconds, from anywhere in their home.
